Apex Vertex GeoIP support released
A feature has been added to Apex Vertex which enables managers to define the geographical areas in which they would like their content distributed. Territorial restrictions will be enabled in other mobile web applications soon.
User's country of origin is regonised from his IP address that is compared to an open source database. The accuracy of the database is currently estimated at 99,3% by the project administrator. This accuracy is adequate for media licensees where their media license covers only certain geographical areas.
Apex Vertex has an application to define different territories from over 200 countries listed in the database. Each available media item can be then assigned one of the territories where the media item will be available.
